Salty Blackflour (l.-r.):
Luis Gomez, John Hickey, James Meakim, and David Green.
Behold, from the depths of New York suburbia rise a bunch of teenage rock 'n' rollers that actually don't suck. Abandoning the post-Nirvana grunge and Korn-doppleganger thrash of their decidedly less original peers, Salty Blackflour have taken Rockland County by storm (as much by storm as such a place can be taken) with a fresh brand of music, the likes of which has never been heard before. In attending an SBF show, one will hear an incomparable sound wrought from a plethora of influences, ranging from the blues to metal to funk to old-fashioned rock 'n' roll. Each of the quartet's members hails from a unique musical background, each with a different set of influences, and each with his own individual style. In summation, Salty Blackflour is a mixture of everything you've ever heard before... but sound like nothing you'll ever hear elsewhere.

Okay, okay, okay... so it's been about 30 years since I updated the site. I'm sorry. But I have some good news. Two upcoming gigs: Friday June 30 at The Backdoor there will be a huge festival from 6pm to midnight (SBF will play at 7:30) featuring Scott-Free, RadioStar, Systematic, and more... and on Friday July 8 STINKFEST 2000 will finally be going on from 6pm-11pm, featuring Interference, Blithe, Scott-Free, Coheed & Cambria, Civil Descent, and more. That's all for now. Peace.
